With the exception of Specialties, PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors have the credentials necessary to conduct and execute PADI programs from Discover Scuba to Divemaster.   Garrard Underwater Educators Ltd. Is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center which happens to be the highest level achievable in the PADI ranking system. 

 

 Following the first week of IDC we offer the PADI Instructor Evaluation (IE). 

 

Instructor Preparation courses:  we offer a wide range of preparatory courses design to help you achieve your instructor certification.  Courses in areas such as academic knowledge, presentations, watermanship skills are offered at your request and of course we can tailor any course to your needs.   

The Medic First Aid course trains the student in First Aid and CPR.  This course is an important primer for the PADI Rescue Diver Course.  In this course you will learn Accident Management and how to apply First Aid/CPR to the unique demands of diving.  When you complete the PADI Rescue Diver course, you will be a qualified first responder whether aid is needed at the surface or underneath it.

 As an experienced diver you’ve realized that diving is more than just breathing underwater.  For most of us, it is a vehicle for exploration into more intricate and technical activities and interests. 

 

As you develop into an Advanced Diver, you will find that your curiosity and interests will lead you into more specialized types of diving like Night Diving or Underwater Photography for example.

The Advanced Open Water course prepares you for these pursuits by exposing you to several types of diving while enriching your confidence and skill.

Classes such as Nitrox, Underwater Photographer, Manatee Awareness, Night Diver, and many more will arm you with the knowledge and skills needed to explore your interests and curiosities.  Imagine being able to see, interact and photograph aquatic life you’ve only seen in pictures and movies.  Night Divers are rewarded with the skill to view the awe inspiring nocturnal world of the coral reef.  Remember, a good diver is always training.

 Once you earn the Open Water certification, you enter an exciting new world of adventure.  We are dedicated to ensuring you receive the industry's best skill development so that you get the most from your dive experiences.

In our course, we take you through the basics of how to Scuba Dive.  You start in a pool or pool-like conditions and progress to the open water (Ocean, Quarry, Lake) getting the industry’s finest education along the way.

 

Class meets:      Friday  6:00 p.m.— 9:00 p.m.

                      Saturday   8:00 a.m.— 4:00 p.m.
